There is a patch available for tora. (search this forum – I mentioned in some other post)
You can make it work without any error after the patch operation.
But, as far as I have experimented with tora, it will not produce results which were mentioned in earlier papers (some of those comparison graphs in some previous papers) . Or even it will not able to send a single packet in a network of about 10 mobile nodes. If you run a 10 node scenario randomly for 10 or 20 times, the delivery of packet will occur very very rarely.
Even I tried it several times with different older versions of ns2 – but the results were same. (old versions of ns2 will not require any patching for tora)
Even it you are running the example available in ns2, ( a four/few node scenario), the transmission will happen only in a particular orientation of the nodes. The transmission will not happen in some other orientation even if the nodes were in communicable range.
Is it a bug in default implementation of tora? or is it due to my ignorance?
I do not know.
AVOID SELECTING TORA FOR FURTHER ENHANCEMENTS (as a research area)
