    which version of patch you are using?
    which version of ns2 you are using?
    what kind of errors you are facing?
    Provide a link to get that patch then only others can try it.

    im doing a project on mbms simulator….already a simulator has been developed by university of cyprus and code is also available..i need to analyse that scenorioto go ahead in my project as it need the basic understanding of mbms process,…they have simulated using ns2.1b9a and they have given the p[atch files also named seacorn.patch……..

    but im not able to install that ns2.1b9a on my fedora 8 platform..im getting errors like ” ns make***** failed….even i tried to debug those errors during its installation …even if i debug one error then two more errors will appear……as it is im so screwed and my deadline is onle 1.5 months to finish my project is counting…i vil give u the link of that simulator plzz help me out…u also trt to run that simulation in ur fed 8….suggest me a solution for this…im running out of time…and my project totally depend on this and i have a very short time…here is the link..:

    I hope that you can not install ns2.1b9a on Fedora 8 because it will need some lower versions of gcc (and some old version of libraries/header files).

    If you try ns2.1b9a on any higher versions of linux, then probably you will see lot of “type errors”

    And probably you can con install old versions of linux on new machines (or laptops)

    It will need lot of experience for installing a old version of ns2 on high version of linux.
    or
    It will need lot of experience for installing a old version of linux on a latest computer (for the purpose of installing a old version on ns2).

    i thought of using redhat 4 or 7 or 9 to do installation…will it work?

    Yes.
    Try using oldest version that can be installed in your machine.

    i have fedora 8 with buitlt in gcc 4 version……….now i want to install GCC 3.3 IN MY SYSTEM HOW TO INSTALL…PLZZ IM NEW TO LINUX AND NS2…PLZZ GIVE COMMANDS TO USE
