How to make P2P Streaming or Overlay Network?

Of course, we have to use some old versions of ns2 for some kind of research. (ex : Still, ns2.1b is widely used for different kinds of research)

Generally, the ns2 architecture from version 2.26 is almost similar. So, we can port the code meant for one version of ns2 to another version with little effort.

But, if you are just studying video streaming only, then you may simulate it using video trace support available in the following link.

You can even use the “video trace traffic” just directly without any modification on ns2. In that case you may simulate a model p2p network by using existing facilities available in ns2.
