Fedora Core or Redhat?

The free version of Redhat was renamed to Fedora after RedHat stopped releasing free version. Fedora updates are more frequent and easier to find.
This is why it is advisible to use Fedora.
It will depend up on the version of ns2 as well as the version of linux/unix variant
If you need to use old version of ns2 (like ns2.1b) for a specific kind of project, then I prefer some old Red Hat Linux (7 – 9 )
If you want to try a new version of ns2, then better try it on Fedora.
